I am a mom who enjoys shopping! I share my finds as a fashion blogger to save you time and money finding key pieces to add to your wardrobe. Please feel free to shoot me a message if you need help with styling!
Woohoo! I really didn’t know what to expect at this sale and I am blown away by some of my purchases! These are commissioned links 🙂 BTW this sale ends Tuesday night in the wee hours. A quickie, but a goodie!
Oh yes, I love me a good sale. I am holding out on what I bought from the Nordstrom’s sale…I’m expecting multiple shipments this week because I didn’t just go a little overboard, I went all the way and my new Nordie’s credit card is going to break the bank. Ouch. I am praying I only like one or two items (crossing fingers).
Anyways, Express started a new sale at midnight tonight and it is glorious. We are talking 40% off EVERYTHING! free shipping and 2x bonus points. Let me get out my pom poms and do a big cheer for Express.
I own this jacket in a soft white and would ABSOLUTELY buy it in another color…maybe black or for fun the lilac color. I would go up one size if you wanted to wear anything long sleeve underneath. There are stretch panels on the sides which allow some wiggle room there 🙂 Literally, this jacket has a 5 star rating…and for good reason. For $76.80 it’s a win!
My least favorite part of any manicure/pedicure is choosing my nail color. I become so indecisive and I am notoriously one to overthink it. SO the way I overcome this obstacle is to bring my own color. I will bring my own bottle to my nail appointments so I can touch up if needed later in the week. Now I can sit back and relax!
My list of go to’s are things I am absolutely die hard about. These things are what help me feel like I am taking care of myself and looking halfway decent. I’m obsessed with each and every one!
AMAZON (affliated links):
Oh how I love Amazon prime. It makes me feel like my birthday happens once a week. It’s far too easy to click a button and whatever you desire arrives 2 days later. In my experience, their customer service is top notch. I support them fully even though Amazon is kind of taking over the world. I’m ok with it. Note these are all affiliated links, but I stand by them all.
For Whiter Teeth- mind you this makes a tremendous mess…handle with care!
These brushes are uber soft and black to not ruin your normal brush.
Sunshine in a bottle right here. A mousse or a spray…both are great for color!
You will 100% need this for a great application. The elasticized wrists keep the gloves on your hands and to boot there’s a mini glove for your face.
Oh this eyeliner…I have been using this for as long as I can remember. It dries fairly quickly after applied and then it almost becomes plastic affixed to your face. It’s terrible, but I have been known to leave this on for days at a time and just touch up as needed.
I know what you’re thinking…I don’t want to peal those painful charcoal masks off my face! But this is not that. Oh no…paint this on (my favorite part) and let it work it’s magic. Washes off easy peasy with water and your face is left as soft as a baby’s bum.
This brush makes applying your charcoal mask a cinch! Turn on some meditative music and you can pretend to be at the spa! It feels divine to paint your face.
I cannot speak highly enough about these easy to use razors. I literally have not had to wax any facial hair in months by using these before leaving the house or on the go. First time I got these, I literally went to town. Got rid of all the dark forearm hair- which mind you I used to bleach and burnt heck out of my skin…baby fine hair all over face- gone…it is glorious. Let me add your makeup will last longer and look smoother in my opinion. Sitting somewhere and notice you have hair toes? No more. Best invention ever. However, handle with caution near brows. Don’t let this be you lol Note these say “large” which means roughly an inch of razor.
With age ear lobes can become thin and not supportive for wearing anything more than studs. These stickers are life changing. Simply place it on the back of your ear and insert your earring through your piercing and through sticker. It will give your ear the support it needs and your earrings will sit properly.
Not exactly the fountain of youth, but Vitamin C has been shown to be incredibly helpful in the skin antiaging world. Slather a bit of this onto your face, neck and décolletage (fancy word for a women’s upper upper torso).
Hello Summer! We are feeling the heat of summer these days. The JCrew Factory sale is so refreshing you might forget the sweat dripping down your neck.
I live in these shorts. I love them! They have cute ruffles trimming the waist and pockets. The slanted pockets are sewn so you don’t have to worry about buckling if you have wider hips like me. A higher waist also makes this easy to tuck in a tank and be ready to par- tay. The lighter colors are partially see through so the navy was a win for me!
Priced at $19.99 which is the lowest they have sold at.
Who doesn’t love an easy dress to thrown on for over a bathing suit, heading to the store or the cookout you know you will be sweating bullets. This dress is a problem solver if you want something that will let you move and breath.
Priced at $34.50 and you can get an additional 15% off with the code “superstar”
This top is so elegant and can be paired with a pretty skirt or some dress pants for a shower or evening event. So simple and polished. $24.50 and take an additional 15% off with code “SUPERSTAR”
A buy for later…these Edie Leather Loafers need a little wearing in, but they are the best shoes once you are past the beginning stage. These look so great with black pants or dress leggings. The pointed toe extends your leg rather cuts it short like a rounded toe would. Not on sale these cost $89.50…with this sale you can catch them for $37.82 (to be exact). woohoo!!
Oh boy…so here it is the final hours of school. We have a 1/2 day today and then the kids are all mine- all day, every day- until my husband comes home and I peace out (some days you just have to). After we adjust to the transition of being in each other’s hair all day- literally, we get to a nice place where we find a groove of having a lazy, fun and sometimes bouts of crazy, busy summer.
We got tickets to a nearby waterpark that should be a blast!
Totally going to the movies this summer! We will not have AC in our home, but the movie theater should be freezing. Can’t wait.
Drive in movie theater- we go every year and last year we missed it.
Walking/Riding bikes to center of town to visit library and get ice cream or slushies – we moved closer to town and have yet to do this!
Basketball game with the local cops. We won this and it’s time to use it!
Try a new ice cream flavor.
Try a new vegetable to even things out.
Make a bucket list bowl…everyone puts things in and we pull out a card every day (or every other…or once a week)
So I have a number of projects that have been on the horizon that I plan on working on this summer.
My garage. Ohhhh the garage is a dumping ground. That needs serious help.
My closet. Have you seen the videos on my insta story? So bad. It’s embarrassing and a cluttered closet, I swear clutters my head. This needs to be done ASAP.
Painting the cabinets in my kitchen. Am I crazy for thinking I can do this? I want it done so bad and having professionals come in just isn’t an option. Maybe this will stay on the back burner for a while.
Kate wants to turn her room into a Harry Potter room. It’s blue, white and pastel right now. Going to have to get strategic on this one.
We have a “homework”/”craft room” that just isn’t super comfortable or organized and I feel like the lighting in there is so pretty. This room needs attention.
The kids want a fort outside. This seems like a health hazard if I were to tackle this…shift this over to Mark’s list.
Painting the trim around our front windows. They are currently the same color of the house and I need to take matters into my own hands.
I’m exhausted already. Maybe this should be my list for the next 7 summers.
Walking to the pool, walking to the beach…walking to the bathroom when in your suit…you just would feel so much better having something easy to throw on and feel comfortable walking around half naked.
Here are a few I found that I thought would go with multiple different style swimsuits.
(some links are affiliated)
$15.99 That price tag has me sold. I love the VS vibe it gives. So easy to throw on and so versatile. This one also comes in a striped version (although horizontal stripes are typically my archenemy I kind of love it) and it is on backorder…meaning it is in high demand. Give it a look.
$19.99 gets you this beautiful coverup. It comes in a beautiful blue color as well. Rock Paper Flower from Target has a number of pretty coverups. This was my favorite.
$17.99 Essentially, this is an oversized tank top. But I love tshirt dresses…so of course I would love the tank version in white with gold pineapples. Sold. Aloha!
$19.99 This makes me think feel like I belong on the Mediterranean somewhere soaking in the sun and viewing the beautiful houses stacked on the cliffs. I’ve never been, so this exists only in my mind from what I’ve seen in photos.
$18.99 for this crochet swim coverup. I see myself with salty beachy waves and looking like one of those perfume models that seem to wash ashore from the sea. I like that the arms look loose and that 500 something people love it.
$17.99 This is so stunningly gorgeous. I can’t wait for this to come in!
$9.99 for this awesome cotton loose maxi dress. This would be so easy to get changed under when leaving the beach. And does this dress have POCKETS?! I ordered the “khaki” color.
$19.99 Ugh- this photo stinks. However, here’s another coverup with this lacey, crochet style. I love it because you can put anything underneath it and you won’t be sweltering hot in it. This one has a little bit more of that 20’s glam look and I am digging it!
$21.99 Surprise, surprise…it’s a palm print pattern. I like that it makes a statement and with this blowing in the wind you can pretend you are in a tropical resort somewhere.
There is no avoiding it and not that you would want to with temps getting up to 95 degrees tomorrow in MA, but swimsuit season is HERE. Oh boy…so what to wear? I just placed a massive order and here’s what’s on it’s way! As well as some I might have to try on as well…just to make sure I don’t miss something I might fall in love with. You never know! Click on photos for the links! (which are affiliated at Target)
$39.99 I love the retro feeling to the floral pattern on this swimsuit as well as the way it gives this girl cleavage. There’s always hope.
$24.99 I bought this swimsuit in a pretty floral pattern and love it, but it now sold out. So I have been searching for a white suit and thought maybe I would love this one too? It doesn’t get good reviews, but the reviewers were contradictory…so I will be my own judge.
$29.99 I kind of wonder if I could pull off a Baywatch run down the beach in this suit, or if it would emphasize the extra I have on my sides out those peep holes. It could go unsexy very quickly. Fingers crossed…I’m staying optimistic on this one!
$29.99 If you hadn’t noticed, I have this whole jungle theme I’ve been leaning towards this season and what a perfect coincidence there is a bathing suit in palm leaves. I am swooning over this suit!
$39.99 I tried this swimsuit back in the winter and I was between sizes…now that I’ve added a few extra pounds I am sure the size up will be perfection now. I love the ruffles and the scooping back. Super feminine without being too revealing. I did notice it was lined last time.
$39.99 Ohhh…I just saw this. I have this swimsuit from last year and lived in it. It felt so couture. It does come with straps to make it a halter (I believe).
$29.99 There are so many beautiful bathing suits that hit that $100 mark that are striped and beautiful. Vertical stripes have always been known for their deceptive way of elongating your body wherever you put these magical stripes. So I saw how happy this model was wearing it and instantly put it in my cart.
Yesterday we went to our first pool party and I was so inspired by all the kids suits! So much cuteness going on. I wish I could get away with wearing some of these!

Mermaid swimsuit $34.90 This suit was gorgeous! The picture cannot do it “justice” no pun intended. It shimmered so beautifully in the sun and the mesh at the top reminded me of a gorgeously tailored wedding dress. It was so flattering! If I could get away with wearing this I 100% would!
Tie Dye Rashguard $10 limited time What print is more summer than a tie dye? This is so fun and maybe the fight to put a rashguard on your child would be less of a fight with this awesome print! Love!!
$14.99 Rule the Pool Swimsuit This color is bright and beautiful. If you are going to a crazy busy pool or waterpark, this might help spot your little one in a flash amongst the crowds. FYI I think about these things!
Swim Coverup $14.99 White coverup? Who does that? Well if you love bleach as much as I do, you might jump onboard. Ice cream spills, mud and whatever else comes in contact can now be bleached the heck out of this. Just look at the detailing on the shoulders and pompom tassels- this is SO cute..and I’m thinking midsummer to do a tie dye project with the kids to make it through the end? Wouldn’t that be so fun!?
Long sleeved rash guard $12.99 only at Target can you find a rash guard for under $15 and still be super cute. These colors are so beachy perfection with the hint of metallic and it’s a win for my wallet and my girls!
$16.99 Rashguard I love this one…and yes I expect it to yellow and ruined by the end of the summer, but white keeps you cool and will go with everything and if the print fades it will look good!
Ruffley Swim Suit $16.99 These colors are so great for all skin tones! I love that it covers more than your typical bikini but still good for those girls who want to show their middles. Great for your fancy girls who will love the ruffle!
2 piece $16.99 this suit got great reviews and I literally buy all my kids swimsuits from Target every year they grow so quickly and these wear well! I really liked this ones for the colors and the fact that it’s girly, sporty and 2 piece (great for using the bathroom and changing behind makeshift towel changing areas). This was approved by both my girls who have opposite tastes. Matching them saves me on trips to pools when I need to keep an eye on both.
Watermelon Straw Purse $15.00 So stinking cute! Perfect for throwing a mini brush, chapstick, sunglasses and a few dollars for the ice cream stand!
Sunglasses Currently $8.50! Protecting our kids from the sun can feel like a full time job! In these they will feel cool because they won’t be falling off and they aren’t in your face (even though they’re on your face) when they see their reflection. Subtle sunglasses we’ll say.
Kids Aviators Currently $8.50 However, these came in for my younger daughter and they need to take turns wearing them! Now they can be just like mom.
